Days 1 - 4: The Heart of Selous | 4 Nights

Welcome to Tanzania, on arrival at Dar es Salaam, met by our meet and assist team and transfer to take your shared charter flight to the Selous Game Reserve, on arrival met and transfer to “Roho ya Selous” your home for the next 4 nights as you experience an authentic Africa adventure in the world’s largest reserve. Set in a small right at the edge of water the camp opens up to the wild, accessing different habitats, flora and fauna and right at the center of the best photography scenes of the Selous reserve. From here you will be able to have a close up view of the Big 5.

The 4×4 vehicles used by the camp have been modified for photography safaris, and the expert guides position the car in the best places for the perfect shot. Selous Game Reserve is home to rich diversity of wildlife and scenery, and despite its pristine vastness here thrive prides of lion, breeding herds of elephant, black rhino, cheetah, packs of wild dog and giraffe.

Much of the reserve remains untouched by human activity and its one of Africa’s hidden wildlife gem, the experience of game drive is exclusive as the park is least visited – experience the authentic Africa wilderness. Get off the 4×4 vehicles and take a bush walk in the company of your expert and professional guides, the experience will open a total new vista of nature – as you stretch from the many hours passed in the vehicle. Or take to the clouds to a hot air balloon safari, to have bird’s eye view of the Selous and its wildlife.

Days 5 - 10: Fundu Lagoon on Pemba Island | 5 Nights

Take your shared charter flights from the wilds of Selous to Chake Chake Aiport on then Island of Pemba, the endless plains, open up to blue warm waters, on arrival met by your safari guide and take the short boat transfer to Fundu Lagoon, your “Robinson Crusoe” home for the next five nights.

Arrive to your suite tucked into a hill side surrounded by tropical forest and looking out to the Indian Ocean, from your suite you can access your private beach and enjoy delicious meals and exquisite wines as you take in the sun. Due its secluded location Fundu Lagoon is crowd free and has been rated one of the top 5 diving destinations in the world. There is a wide variety of water sports and excursions on offers ensuring you will have no dull moment during your stay. The is a spa that also offers the most revitalizing treatments.

Head out on excursions to explore the Ngexi Forest and the Island of Misali, stretch out on the yoga platform as you take in views of the sea and surrounded by natural beauty or head to the fully equipped PADI dive center that offers snorkeling and scuba diving in the teeming coral lagoons, alongside waterskiing, windsurfing, fishing and sunset dhow cruises.

After 5 days of completing resting on the African coast, it’s time to head home, breakfast and transfer to the airport to take your departure flights as we repass the days, watching elephants heard pass by in the Selous, the colorful sundowner’s cocktails in the African bush and bare foot walks on the caressing white sands of Fundu Lagoon’s private beach.
