Kenya safaris have become so popular that legendary reserves like the Masai Mara can get quite busy with queues of minibuses jostling for space at a lion kill. This is not the scenario with our Kenya luxury safaris. You’ll enjoy intimate lodges and tented camps in private concessions far from the safari crowds. And not only will you be treated to thrilling big game viewing but staying in private concessions gives you the chance to step out of your vehicle and enjoy unforgettable experiences not possible in the National reserve such as walking safaris led by Maasai guides, night game drives and bush meals.

In the ultimate exclusivity, consider staying in a private safari villa in Kenya, The villas have their own trained safari guide and 4×4 open sided or pop up Land cruiser or Land Rover vehicles so you can enjoy game drives with your friends and family when you deserve it. Chat and share about the day’s sightings over delicious meals served up on your private deck or in the bush dinners.

If you’re looking for iconic imagery and classic savannah landscapes filled with wildlife, then Tanzania is a hard destination to beat. How about a luxurious camp with big walk-in tents in a private concession on the Serengeti plains or an opulent lodge perched on the rim of the astonishing Ngorongoro Crater?

We also have a fine selection of accommodation in the less-visited parks in the west and south of the country, and would highly recommend rounding off your luxury Tanzania safari with a few sunny days on a tropical island off the Tanzanian coast.

Many of our luxury safari destinations lie within Africa’s malarial belt and although the risk is often minimal or seasonal, you are strongly advised to work with your safari expert as well as a medical practitioner or doctor to identify the severity of the risk plus what steps and what medication to take to avoid contracting the disease.
Africa’s seasons have a huge impact on the movement, behaviour and concentrations of animals – and it pays to know where to go and at what time of year. The most guaranteed game sightings are traditionally during the destination’s dry season when the vegetation has thinned out and many animals are concentrated around permanent water sources.
It’s important to remember that if you’re catching light plane charters your luggage weight might be restricted to as little as 10kg (20 pounds) per person. It’s also advisable to use soft bags that can fit into the small overhead compartments.
