Itinerary

Welcome to Kenya, after completing the customs requirements you will be met by your tour guide and transfer to family owned and managed House of Waine in the upscale neighborhood of Karen, the hotel boast an amiable interior featuring high ceilings exuding a feel of stately Victorian architecture. Check in to your spacious and well-appointed suite overlooking the lush green lawns, dotted with indigenous trees open to swimming pool with a al fresco lounge ready to welcome you and make you feel at home. The hotel interiors are filled with historical art, antique furniture, grand chandeliers and traditional fires places giving the hotel a touch of the sophisticated old world charm.

Breakfast and later transfer to Nairobi’s Wilson airport to take the short haul flight to the Maasai Mara, on arrival in the Mara met by your tour guide and transfer to the magnificent Mahali Mzuri safari camp, the camp is set right at the top of a ridge overlooking the vast Mara plains, within the Olare Motorogi Conservancy. The suites have eco conscious designs resembling “spaceships”, built with the help of the local Maasai, and are raised off the ground, with verandas to offers the best breathtaking views of the Mara – the whole architecture speaks of minimal environmental impact whilst affording the guest, the best comforts one can find in the Mara.

The game drives vehicle is specially adapted, with plug points allowing you to charge your cameras while on safari, ensuring you do not miss the perfect shot of the Mara river crossing even when out for a full day game drive in the reserve. For your stay do not forget to take a walking safari, an experience and interaction the will open up a whole new world as you learn about the plants, insects and smaller animals of the Mara, normally difficult to appreciate on a game drive vehicle.

Breakfast and later transfer to the airstrip to take your flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson airport on arrive and connect to the afternoon flight to Diani, on arrival in Diani met by your guide and transfer to AfroChic – a private and intimate boutique hotel, offering the best of Kenya coastal hospitality. Check into your contemporary villa with a balcony overlooking the lush green landscapes dotted with palm trees with a crystal clear swimming pool, and further ahead the sandy beach opening up to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. The soft waves inviting you to take a leisurely stroll on the beach or better a dip to wash away the wooziness of a safari.

Lazy the days enjoying the hotel facilities, or take an excursion to discover the underwater world, watersports such as kite surfing and diving are available for the more adventurous of watch the local family of colobus monkeys as they play in the garden tree – long barefoot walks beckon and the soft sea currents nudge you for a swim. Or take an evening horse ride on the beach, with the sunset ahead, an experience to be relished, if you are a golf enthusiast there is an 18-hole golf course just within walking distance.

Breakfast, and later transferred to the Ukunda Airport to take your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to take your departure flight.
