Itinerary
Day 1: A Tarangire Adventure | 1 Night
Pick up from your Arusha Hotel after breakfast and take the scenic drive south in open road to the Tarangire National Park, arrive in time for an early lunch and later in the afternoon depart for a game drive in the Tarangire National Park, a place of diverse wildlife and astonishing sceneries.
During the dry season, in the greatest spectacle is seen on the Tarangire Rivers that tears through the dry wild Tarangire landscape, when tens of thousands of animals including the largest herds of elephants ever seen gather on the banks of the river to partake the waters of this ever perennial river.
Will transverse the park on the lookout for buffalos, hippos and the big cats, later before the sun sets we shall return to our camp, Lake Burunge Tented Camp set not very far from Lake Burunge, to watch as the sun sets and take cold drinks besides the camp fire, before dinner and later retiring for the night.
Day 2: Lake Manyara Lakeside Lodge | 1 Night
Leaving the shores of the idyllic Lake Burunge we head to the shores of Lake Manyara , surrounded by the National Park with the same name , the Lake Manyara National Park , we arrive and immediately embark on our game drive.
The park once described by the enigmatic Ernest Hemingway’s as the most beautiful he had seen; take up the central part of the park, here a diver variety of wildlife as well as tens of thousands of flamingos congregate, when the conditions are right.
We shall approach the lakes banks and flood plains where we shall see herds of buffaloes and zebras grazing, further into the wood lands and little forests of the park, we shall look out for the famous tree climbing lions of Manyara, and elephants. The elephants of Manyara are famous for their large tusks. Later before the sun sets we shall take the 20 minutes’ drive to the Kirurumu Manyara Lodge, set on an edge with breathtaking views of the park.
Days 3 - 4: Serengeti Under Canvas | 2 Nights
We shall depart the shores of Lake Manyara and climb through the lush green of the cool rift valley, before descending again towards the vast savannah of the Serengeti, Africa greatest national park and conservation area, where one of the greatest spectacles of the wildlife world, the annual wildebeest migration takes place in the months of November to July. However, the Serengeti offers the best wildlife viewing throughout the year.
With a game drive en route, and with the looks of curious animals as we cut through the open savannah, we arrive at our accommodation for next two nights the Kati Kati tented Camp, set in the best migration location, complete with hot water bucket showers, settle into your traditional tent as you look forward to the best adventure.
For the next two days explore the Serengeti plains, your knowledgeable safari guide taking you to the best spots for the viewing of lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena and wild dog as they prowl the plain game for a quick meal.
Days 5 - 6: Ngorongoro Big 5 Safari | 2 Nights
Today we make our way again through the plains of the Serengeti passing curious herds of isolated animals and idyllic Maasai villages as we climb again to lush green of the rift valley, we shall make a stopover at the viewpoint to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater and marvel at the views of the caldera below , the largest in the World , within which are thousands and thousands of wildlife , we continue to the Ngorongoro Farm House , our home for the next two nights as we explore the wonders of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Ngorongoro Farm House is set in lush green gardens with magnificent view of the Oldeani Volcano right in the midst of a working farm right on the immediate outskirts of the small town of Karatu, in the day you arrive enjoy an afternoon tour of the estate to learn more about the coffee making process , on the next day we shall collect our picnic lunches and head out for a full day of game viewing in the Ngorongoro crater , the easiest place in Africa to see the big 5 -– lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo all in one safari. Later return to the lodge for overnight.
