This is a hiker’s paradise and home to the ancient monolith that is Mount Longonot – an extinct volcano that rises from the Great Rift Valley’s floor. Finish off with a Big 5 game viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania.

Itinerary

Welcome to Kenya, arriving at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport -JKIA, the largest airport in East Africa. Meet our client relations team and, after a short briefing, our tour guide will transfer you and your group for an overnight stay at the La Mada Hotel, a boutique hotel located in the midst of lush gardens right on the outskirts of Nairobi city.

Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast and after breakfast reunite with your guide for the short scenic drive down the great rift valley to visit Mount Longonot National Park. Later continue to Hells Gate National Park and experience a different kind of safari, exploring the wilderness on foot or on a bicycle , see the local wildlife such as buffalo, eland, zebra and gazelle close by. Before the day ends visit Elsanere Conservation Center , once a holiday home of George and Joy Adamson of the Born Free Fame. Overnight at your hotel , located on the shores of Lake Naivasha.

From Naivasha, the land or rough waters we continue to the open savannah of the Maasai Mara, to Mara River Lodge located on the banks of the world famous Mara River. Watch the crocodiles bask in the sun while the hippos splash and rouse the waters from then comfort of your lodge. During the game drives, part of your visit, go out in search of the lion, cheetah and leopard – as well as the Great Wildebeest Migration.

Cross over from the Maasai Mara to the Serengeti , ‘The Land That Moves on Forever ‘it’s a vast and quaint place to behold , teeming with wildlife and different habitats , home to some of the most interesting animal species in Africa. Take then time to explore its rich heritage with game drives, either morning and afternoon or full day with picnic lunches taken in the company and view of the wonder scenery and wildlife.

From the Serengeti we shall drive up towards the Ngorongoro crater, a scenic drive across the lands of the Maasai – the local people. As we drive through the sleepy villages, pass by pastoralist tending to their large herds of cattle you shall notice the landscape change from sparse vegetation to lush and green as we reach the high altitudes. On arrival continue to your camp, Simba camp site and enjoy the wonderful views of the crater. We shall depart early before sun break on the visit to the crater. Ngorongoro is the world biggest inactive and unfilled volcanic caldera. Its East Africa’s home to the big 5 where you will also find other wildlife. The concentration of animals leaving on the crater floor is mind boggling. Later return to the camp before lunch and the afternoon visit a Maasai village for dance and also to learn more about their culture.
