Day 1: Touch Down in Nairobi | 1 Night
Days 2 - 7: The magic Of the Maasai Mara | 5 Nights
Check out of your camp and transfer to Wilson Airport for your flight to World renowned Maasai Mara National reserve and check in to Saruni Nyati House in the Mara North Conservancy, a private reserve with very low visitor and vehicle numbers. Enjoy your stay with a private guide, chef and butler to ensure a highly personalised experience.
Set off at dawn to seek out the Big 5, returning to pass the heat of the day like the animals do: by settling into a cool spot on the wide verandah for forty winks or perhaps catching up with your reading (there is complimentary Wi-Fi connectivity for those who can’t manage a full ‘digital detox’). After a refreshing afternoon tea, head out again to enjoy sunset in the Mara and the first rustles of elusive nocturnal animals like leopard, bush babies and owls.
Days 7 - 12: Bliss Out in Zanzibar | 5 Nights
Breakfast in the Mara and later catch the flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, on arrival in Nairobi connect to the afternoon flight to Zanzibar, spend the next five days in the sandy beaches of the east coast of Zanzibar at Matemwe Beach House which is just a couple of paces away from the Indian Ocean. Arrive to catch the first breeze and enjoy the evening to the calming sounds of the ocean.
Zanzibar is the best place for water sports, the island offers the best scuba diving sites – the best diving months are February and March, if you are fun of jet skiing, that is available too, the best months for jet skiing are July and August. For the more adventurous, paragliding above the turquoise waters of Zanzibar is an experience to behold.
For those who love culture and history Zanzibar is alive with culture, take a tour of the stone town through a maze of narrow streets, through houses with elephant proof door ways to shops, temples and mosques. You can also visit the bustling markets full of color and the smell of out or the earth spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and paper, later return to your patio at Matemwe Beach House and idle the afternoon over a drink while the ocean breezes hugs you to a relaxing evening.
