Itinerary

Days 1: Touchdown in Arusha | 1 Night

Welcome to Tanzania, on arrival met by your safari guide and transfer to Katambuga Guest House, that is only five minutes away from the Arusha Airport. Katambuga House, boasts six rooms set out in the lush gardens with the towering Mount Meru in view, the feel is modern and chic.

This will be your home for the night, take a few laps in the hotel swimming pool as we wait for the next day to begin your African adventure.

Days 2 - 3: Explore Tarangire | 2 Nights

Breakfast and transfer to Arusha Airport to take your flight to Tarangires Kuro airstrip, on arrival met by your guide and transfer to Nduvo Camp, take the sights en-route to the camp, you may even be lucky to spot the famous large elephants herds of Tarangire, as they make their way to the Tarangire River. The Camp is located on the northern part of the Tarangire National Park, on the wild landscape dotted with baobab trees whose branches appear to roots, rooted in the wild African sky.

Arrive at to Ndlovu Camp and check into your spacious is 48m² / 158ft² in size tent, the tents are so large up to people can be comfortably accommodate in one tent, there is also a family tent, all tents are solar powered with en-suite bathroom, using the old fashioned safari bucket showers and with flush loos. Spend the next two nights enjoying exciting game drives in search of leopard, lion, ostrich, zebra and everything in between!

Days 4 - 5: Fly to Lake Ndutu | 2 Nights

Fly into the Serengeti’s Ndutu airstrip, and take the short drive to Ang’ata Migration Ndutu Camp, just a stone throw away from Lake Ndutu in the heart of the southern Serengeti. The Camp is surrounded by unspoiled wilderness of short grass plains, the local call this ‘shamba maharagi’ which attract the passing wildebeest herds as the look for green pasture. On your games drives stop by the nearby Lakes Ndutu and Masek, and waiting staking it out as the wildlife come to the lakes to take a sip or refresh in the cool waters.

Days 6 - 8: Karatu, Ngorongoro Crater | 3 Nights

From the wilds of the Serengeti head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Are to Karatu located midway between Serengeti and the conservation area, providing the back drop for your next best 3 nights of safari.

Your base will the chic Gibbs Farm, on arrival at Manyara Airstrip you will be met and transferred to the lodge, check in and after week flying around the wilds of Tanzania, spend the rest of the day at leisure, the hotel offers excellent walks and biking and bird watching, or you can learn from the lodges own coffee farm, the coffee making process, enjoy the best of African hospitality at Gibbs Farm.

On the last day, take a packed lunch and head out for a full day of game viewing to the crater floor, this will be a day to marvel, for the crater is the only place in the world where one is sure to see the big five, elephant lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and African buffalo in a single game drive, explore the wildlife rich crater floor that is home to more than 30 000 animals, later stop at a scenic spot and take your packed and enjoy the scenes and views of the wildlife.

Day 9: Back to Arusha - Journey Ends

Breakfast at Gibbs Farm and later transfer to Manyara Airstrip to take the hour long flight back to Arusha Airport, on arrival at Arusha Airport continue with your onward travel arrangements.
