Your starting point is Arusha, the gateway to the northern Serengeti plains and home to some of the country’s finest coffee farms. A night at Arusha Coffee Lodge will let you sleep off your jet-lag and leave you ready to enjoy early mornings and nights around the crackling fire at Oliver’s Camp in Tarangire National Park. After the fun of a walking safari and night drives in Tarangire, you will transfer to one of the most game-filled places in Africa: the Ngorongoro Crater. Your home here is Gibb’s Farm and a game drive through the crater is likely to be one of the biggest highlights of your vacation. From Ngorongoro to another world-renowned highlight: Serengeti National Park. Your final three nights are at Sayari Camp, where you will lace up your boots for a thrilling walking safari before winging your way back to Arusha and then home.

Itinerary
Day 1: The Gateway to Tanzania | 1 Night
Welcome to Tanzania, to the bustling town of Arusha, the center of Tanzania’s first class coffee industry growing industry, with a little airport and bustling Maasai markets and the gateway to the northern safari circuit of Tanzania. Your safari guide will be at the airport waiting for you and after a short briefing drive to the Arusha Coffee Lodge, set within lush gardens in a working coffee farm, on the lower slopes of Mount Meru. After check in sit in your verandah with the freshest cup of coffee as you take in the green, or to get over the jet lag, head for a dip in the swimming pool or book a treatment or two at the spa.
Days 2 - 3: From Arusha to Tarangire | 2 Nights
Breakfast and later transfer to the Arusha airport to take your flight to Tarangire National Park, Kuro airstrip, on arrival met by your guide and transfer to Oliver’s Camp Tarangire, a camp with only ten tents, and set up by the side of a swamp, ensuring excellent game and bird watching even from the comfort of your tent.
One has the option to experience fly camping, heading out to secluded locations and spending the night close to the wildlife, an authentic under the African skies experience.
Add a thrilling bush walk in the company of your ranger guides, head out into the night in search of nocturnal animals on the prowl, as part of your daily safari schedule of dawn to dusk game drives interrupted by bush breakfast and sundowners. Walking safaris will allow you to experience a different angle of game, step out of your vehicle, feel the plants, watch the animal tracks, touch and feel the animal mucks as they tell you a totally different story about the animal, your trained and armed ranger guide will be right with you as you watch the plain game from a distance, you will discover, the insects, the birds, the flowers and all sorts of small details hard to see from the car.
Night game drives add to the excitement, go out in the dark, when the African night is unruffled and discreet listen out for the yelp of an owl, giving away a lurking creature of the night, or the jostling feet of plain game, for a prime sleeping spot, the cracking of branches as alarmed animals stand alert curious of its source, porcupines, hyenas, and leopards are among the animals you are likely to see.
Days 4 - 6: A World of its Own | 2 Nights
Breakfast and we head out further south towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the world famous, Ngorongoro crater, the world largest unbroken volcanic caldera, within which one will find the largest concentration of large mammals feeding on the mineral rich grass that is found within the caldera. The crater is also the only place in the world where one can have the luck to see the big 5 in one single game drive. Arrive at Gibbs farm, located in working daily farm and coffee plantation, with a home away from home atmospheres, here you will find the time to replenish and relax in-between game drives to the crater, take walks in the charming English manicured garden and visit the Africa Living Spa for locally inspired healing therapies, or take the guided walk to the crater wall outside. After game drives, enjoy delicious 4 course meals cooked from the freshest ingredients in the extensive organic garden, before retiring to your warm and comfy cottage for the night.
Days 7 - 9 : Breath in the Serengeti | 3 Nights
Breakfast and later transfer to your airstrip to take the flight to Serengetis, Kogatened Airstrip, on arrival met by your safari guide and begin your safari in the famous Serengeti, amidst its massive herds, breathtaking scenery, and the home of classic safaris. Your home for the next 3 days as you explore the pristine wilderness of the Serengeti will be the Sayari seasonal camp, set up close to the nearby Mara River, and spot of the dramatic wildebeest crossing every year. Explore the Mara, taking game drives as you look out for the big five, with picnic lunches taken out on the plains of the Serengeti amidst the wildlife, take guided walks, later finish the safaris sipping drink around the camp fire before dinners, if traveling with children do not worry, Sayari is the best place for children with a special kid’s program, as well as a swimming pool.
After nine days it’s to say goodbye to the endless plains of the Serengeti, breakfast and later transfer to Kogatende airstrip to take your flight to Arusha, then to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight home.
