Itinerary

Welcome to Tanzania, on arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by your safari guide and after a short briefing, take the road south to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large baobab trees, its large herds of elephants, and its exclusivity away from the crowds. Arrive at Little Oliver’s tented camp, your base for the next two days as you explore the park with morning and afternoon game drives in search of elephants and lions in the wilds of Tarangire. The camp provides Africa under canvas experiences, and from its location you can watch the wildlife as they roam the flood plains below. Experience a walking safari as you watch the giraffes from the distance in the company of your expert guides and armed rangers.

Breakfast in Tarangire and with a game drive en-route we head further south to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area homed of the Ngorongoro crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera and renowned for its large concentration of mammals. Ngorongoro is a must stop for any safari in the Tanzania northern Circuit Arrive at The Highlands, a state of the art facility with classy décor, with the best amenities of any lodge. The award winning camp will surely be the highlight of your trip as its as beautiful as the surroundings in which it is built. During your stay, take your packed lunches and head out for a full day of game viewing in the crater floor, explore the vast plains for lion, elephant and giraffe, visit the local villages, trek to the Empakaai Crater Lake or hike up to the top of the Olmoti Volcano, your days will be adventure packed with fun filled activities.

From the Ngorongoro take the plains, west toward the Serengeti, spending the nest 3 days of your safari in this iconic park, if visiting during the months of January to March you will see the greatest wildlife spectacle the wildebeest migration. Serengeti is good for game viewing all year round. You will stay at the Dunia Camp, a small camp of only 8 tents, from its prime location and rugged landscape head out for game drives among the immense wildlife roaming the area, including cheetahs, leopard and elephant. Look out at the Moru Kopjes for basking lions, taking advantage of the high perch to scan for prey, and if you visit during the migration season the camp is right on the migration route and you will have a front row seat of this wonder of nature.

Breakfast and with a game en-route as you take in the last sights of the Serengeti, then transfer to the airstrip to take your flight back to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
