Itinerary
Day 1: Your Tanzanian Adventure Begins | 1 Night
Welcomed to Tanzania, arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport where you will be met by your tour guide after a short minutes transfer to the Africa View Lodge, just a 30 minutes’ drive from the airport. Then Lodge offers comfortable cottage like accommodation and is the perfect base to arrive, rest before beginning your African safari.
You can decide to unwind enjoying the hotels facilities, but if not tired take a village tour, or an excursion in the coffee farm, or pop into your 4×4 vehicle and head out for a game drive in scenic, tropical forested, Arusha National Park, through only a night, with enough time you shall not fall short of interesting safari activities to do.
Days 2 - 4: Hike the World’s Largest Caldera in Ngorongoro | 2 Nights
Breakfast and take the road south to Lake Manyara National Park, with your next destination the sleepy town of Karatu just 3 hours away, we shall take advantage of this journey to take in the sights and game view in the Lake Manyara National Park.
Look for the grazing savannah animals, zebras, antelopes and the huge tusked elephants of Manyara, we shall explore the lake shore with wonderful views of the frolicking flamingoes on the lake. Later enjoy a picnic lunch with wonderful views of the lake in the distance.
Later we depart Manyara for the ecological Endoro Lodge, arriving at the hotel just before dinner, the lodge is located on the border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, within which is the Ngorongoro Crater the world’s largest volcano caldera.
At Endoro, you will not get jaded, spend the two nights, visiting the Elephant caves at Endoro Waterfalls, with sights that you will never forget, cycle through the local village on a bicycle tour or stroll the open lush green of the lodge through banana trees and coffee bushes, take a walk leading through the rim of the crater, and most off all a game drive to the crater floor.
Days 5: Welcome to the Serengeti | 1 Night
Breakfast and depart with a game drive through the vast conservation area to the world famous Serengeti National Park, to Kati Kati mobile camp, offering the best of under the african sky experience.
The camp is set out in the open African savannah, with lamp lit canvas tents and bucket showers, making you feel the authentic African wilderness, arrive for dinner and re charge as you continue jour journey tomorrow to discover what surprises the Serengeti holds.
Days 5 - 7: Hot-air Balloon ride over the Savannah plains | 2 Nights
After breakfast head to the local airstrip and take your flight to the world famous Maasai Mara renowned for its endless plains, abundance of wildlife and most particularly for the annual wildebeest migration.
On arrival at Keekorok airstrip in the Mara, you will be met by your guide and with a short game drive en-route transferred to your Sand River Maasai Mara camp inspired by the by gone era of golden safaris. The camp is located in a scenic and secluded zone of the Mara with a riverside setting. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
The following day, take an early morning breakfast at the camp and set off with picnic lunches for a full day game drive in the Maasai Mara national reserve. Head towards the Mara river as you go out in search of lions, elephants, birds or whatever else you and your guide agree to try and find. At mid-day, we will look for a shade at a scenic spot and set out our picnic lunch right in the middle of the African savannah surrounded by wildlife. Continue to explore the Maasai Mara after lunch and later visit a Maasai village before heading back to the camp. You can freshen up and taste a sundowner. Dinner and overstay at the camp.
Day 8: Farewell East Africa
