Days 1 - 2: Unique Samburu | 2 Nights
Days 3 - 4: Tracking Rhinos on Days 3-4: Tracking Rhinos on Foot | 2 Nightsoot | 2 Nights
Continue your African safari into the wild African north to the Sera Conservancy, where you will stay at the luxurious Saruni Rhino Camp. Sera Conservancy is a private wildlife reserve and one of the few places in Africa where you can still track black rhinos on foot. Visit the nearby rhino and elephant sanctuaries and enjoy bird watching – and see some of the rarest and most endemic birds. Samburu offers a once in a life time cultural experience, the Samburu known as those of white goat’s area proud warrior people who still maintain their cultures to this day. Visit the singing well were local herdsmen congregate and call out to their cattle to come and drink water – the cattle recognize the voice of their herdsmen.
Days 5 - 7: Explore the Maasai Mara | 3 Nights
It’s time to say goodbye to the scenic dry wilderness of Samburu and take your ninety minutes flight to the Maasai Mara. On arrival in the you will be met by your guide and transfer to Saruni Wild Camp. The Maasai Mara forms the same ecosystem as the Serengeti and is actually an extension of the same, on this canvas of endless plains and grass plays out of the major wildlife spectacle in the world when over a million wildebeest accompanied by impalas and zebras migrate from the Serengeti to the lush, succulent green grasses of the Mara, the journey carries with it many dangers – as the predators – lions, leopards, wild dogs and spotted hyenas lie in wait to ambush the traveling animals for an easy meal. Visiting the Maasai Mara is always a rewarding experience for the wildlife enthusiast.
While in the Mara take the time for a different safari experience, take a bush walk to learn more about the rich plant and insect life and track the footprints of animals learning more about their behavior, or much better take to the skies over the plains of the Mara with a hot air balloon ride, its begins early in the morning before sun break and ends with a well-deserved champagne breakfast in the open plains of the Mara in plain view of wildlife.
