Itinerary

After completing customs requirements meet up with your guide and after a short briefing transfer to the Siwandu Camp – formerly Selous Safari Camp, your home for the next 2 nights, located in the least known, wild Selous Game Reserve, well located to explore this pristine wilderness.

Visit the Rufiji River, for a river safari, the largest river in east Africa, with big hippo populations and also home to the largest crocodiles you will ever see, walk the wilderness of Selous in the company of your qualifies ranger guides, it will be a time for game drives and an experience for the African wilderness.

Breakfast and transfer to the airstrip to take your flight to Ruaha National Park, on arrival met and transfer to Jongomero Camp, the only camp in this vast wilderness, with spectacular views and in total seclusion, your own private piece of the African Wilderness. Discover the rivers recognizing new bird species, and go on exhilarating game drives, only interrupted by the bush lunches and dinners, get to see the elephants, zebras and hippos lurking in the rivers right under the hot African sky. Later return to the camp and relax by the pool made of natural rocks as you take in the picturesque views that surround you, after delicious meals retire to the comfort of your thatched tent, with viewing decks looking into the horizon beyond.

Depart today to the Samburu heart lands to Sasaab camp located on an outcrop with wonderful view of the Ewaso Nyiro river. The camp is located on local community land and is owned by the local community. Very uniquely designed, the camo echoes the bygone era of Arab traders and with a Moroccan architecture.

While at Sasaab venture out in to the Samburu wilderness in search of the Samburu special 5, that can only be found in this region, such as Grevy’s Zebra, the adorable long-necked Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Besia Oryx and the Somali ostrich.

Other activities that you must do at the Sasaab camp include visit to local Samburu village, star gazing, safari walks or visit to local markets.
