Itinerary

Welcome to Kenya. Upon arrival in Nairobi, and after completing customs requirements, you will be met by your guide and transferred to Nairobi Tented Camp, located in Nairobi National Park, the oldest of the parks in Kenya, and the only one of its kind located within close proximity of a city center.

The park host one of Kenya’s rhino sanctuaries and is home to over 300 recorded species of birds, most of the animals found in other parks can be seen in the Nairobi National Park except elephants, these include lions, leopard, buffalos, giraffes and zebras just to mention a few – manmade dams are located at various location of the park to attract water dependent animals during the dry season.

Check in to your spacious tent, with a furnished verandah overlooking the acacia forest, your tent is solar powered with low wattage LED lighting, enjoy fire heated showers in your en-suite bathroom, lay in your queen size bed, with the sheep skin rugs at your feet to add that that cosy African safari feeling.

Embark on game drives in our pen 4×4 vehicles accompanied by expert guides, include visits to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage – world famous for its program of caring for orphaned elephants and rehabilitation of animals to reintegrate them back in the wild.

Breakfast and transfer to the Wilson Airport to take your flight to Amboseli National park, arrive into Amboseli with the iconic views of the Kilimanjaro to welcome you. You will be met by your guide and transfer to the Selenkay Conservation to begin your two nights stay at the Porini Amboseli Camp. The Selenkay Conservancy has been protected since 1997, under an agreement with the local Masai community, Porini Amboseli Camp is the only camp in this conservancy , offering the exclusive experience of exploring the 40,000 hectares conservancy exclusively .

Embark on game drives in our open sided 4×4 vehicles exploring the Amboseli National Park and the Selenakay Conservancy, take night game drives to discover nocturnal life such as servals, beat eared fox, and anteaters. While at the camp, take to the luxuriously furnished viewing platform, where you can watch the wildlife as they come to seek water at the nearby waterhole, put on your dancing shoes and join the local Maasai in song and dance as you visit an authentic Maasai village to learn more about the culture of the Maasai, look out for the prolific birdlife that adorns the area as you such for the larger mammals.

On the second day of your stay, take a packed lunch and head out for full day of game viewing in the Amboseli National Park, return from the game drive to a sundowner at scenic location before dinner, later after dinner sit by the crackling camp under the star – studded sky to share stories of your day’s sightings.

Breakfast and later transfer to the airstrip to take your flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, on arrival connect to the flight to Mara Ol Kiombo airstrip , on arrival you will be met by your tour guide and transfer to Porini Lion Camp. Porini Lion Camp is set on the banks of the Ntiakatiak River, with breathtaking views of the open plains of the Maasai Mara, the camp is designed to have minimal impact on the environment and is solar powered.

With just 10 tents, all en suites and with verandas overlooking the open plains, you get the authentic, unspoilt Africa under canvas experience. Enjoy game drives in our 4×4 open vehicles and walking safaris with our expert local Maasai guides – later relax on your verandah as you watch the animals from a distance. The area around the camp has 3 established lion prides, and leopards are not very far off from the camp. Being in a private concession the number of vehicle is limited, the animals are more relaxed and tend to be curious of approaching vehicles.

Between game drives put aside some time to explore the nearby forest for some bird sightings, our expert local Maasai guides are always ready to assist with identification, the Maasai Mara has over 300 registered bird species, listen to the hippos as they wallow in the muddy banks and splash the waters of the Ntiakatiak River.

Breakfast and transfer back to Ol Kiombo Airstrip to take your flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, on arrival transfer to the world famous carnivore restaurant where you will enjoy exotic meat dishes, before returning to the airport to catch your flight to Diani, on arrival in Diani met by your guide and transfer to The Sands at Chale where you will spend the next 5 nights enjoying the hospitality of the Kenyan coastal people.

Chale runs on its own time different from other parts of the world, relaxed, informal and idyllic, watch the shadow of fisherman dhow and they sail across the crystal water of the Indian Ocean.

Take refreshing dips in the sea, and return to sun bathe on the beach, other activities at Chale include snorkeling in the Kisite Marine Park, or take a boat ride to Pemba Channel, boat trips provide an opportunity to spot sea wildlife such as crocodiles, kingfishers and sometime dolphins, one can also do canoeing, windsurfing or sailing to make the most of their time in this tropical paradise.

Breakfast and later transfer back to Ukunda Airstrip to take your flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, on arrival in Nairobi you will be met and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to take your flight back home.
